UNM Lobos 10-0 after defeating Valparaiso, 65-52
The 2012 University of New Mexico Lobos Men’s basketball team is getting national attention with their current record of 10-0. Their recent victim being the Valparaiso Crusaders, whom they defeated at “The Pit,” yesterday 65-52!
The Lobos were described as sluggish in the first half of the game, but picked up the tempo in the second half. At the end of regulation they had forced 23 turnovers, from which they capitalized a whopping 22 points. That was definitely the biggest differentiator in the game
Next for the Lobos, in-state rival NM State, Saturday, USC Dec 15, 2012, 7:00 PM MST at “The Pit.”
