EIGHT MILLION WORTHLESS DOLLARS

By
Real Estate Broker/Owner with people first...then business Ran Right Realty 636943 licensed to thrill

I know of a man and have known about him... that likes to boast about how much MONEY he made over the years and how it has reached the $8 million dollar mark. You can find this out about him right away as it is his BOAST wherever he goes. He has a live-in girlfriend, owns his home and has made provisions to leave his money to some organization

I GOT MONEY

I remember when I first met him, he had a good first impression but from there remained a shallow and a person of no particular interest when it came to conversation. When I was made aware of his finances (by him), I remarked to him that in and of itself that is not so important. He dismissed me and we remained at arms length. I don't count in his world, but money does

PUTS UP WITH HIM FOR THE MONEY

Just a few months ago, he was struck ill and is under doctors care. He has no friends or relatives to see to his well being and his live in girl friend has nothing but resentment and obligation coming out of her. There is no love or commitment but a sort of toleration for the man...He sees this but she doesn't. Others see it all plain as day

IN GOD WE TRUST

The sad part of watching someone who put all their trust, their faith, and even their identity and purpose into a dollar bill never fails to move me. It is a lesson that you would think people have either learned or heard about by now. The poor in spirit cannot find the riches within themselves. Instead, they found outside rewards the kind that perish

GIVE ME ONE MORE CHANCE

Hasn't everyone heard of Dickens A CHRISTMAS CAROL? Ebeneezer Scrooge excelled in this type of selfish thinking and believing and practiced it most of his life. He didn't start out that way, but slowly went that way and prevailed. No one could stop him even though they tried too

HEART OF STONE...worthless

He couldn't see anything because he remained blinded by his vanity and lack of compassion for the Universal principals that make us men and women. His heart was buried and covered in stone and there is not much demand for stone within a human being. NOPE...no value at all

HE WILL HAVE THE LAST WORD...sadly

His girl friend is licking her chops over this mans death. But if I am a good judge of character, I already know what the outcome will be for this lady, this man and everyone else involved. They will all get nothing but his resentment and the money goes south into the unknown...But there is a better way...

THANK YOU...BE THANKFUL

Scrooge found the better way and it is said that NO MAN ever kept Christmas as well as he did after he learned what life was all about. NO MAN EVER KEPT A BETTER XMAS....was his legacy

Richie, to this day, I think A Christmas Carol is one of my favorite lessons on how to LIVE FULLY. One of my favorite phrases that I say aloud in my best Tiny Tim voice,

God Bless Us, Every One!

 Beautifully written piece...yours and Dickens'.

Richie, So sad that anyone misses the real meaning of life. Even sadder that one gets ill and ends up dying alone still filled with greed and resentment.  A life without true purpose and meaning is an unfulfilled existence.  Merry Christmas!!!

Richie, good blog.  Your blog goes with your tag line, "People first, then business."  The rich guy put himself first and pushed everyone else away.  When he needed people, there was no one who cared.  As Realtors, we need to remember the people first.  We are in the "people business."
