Interesting Trivia for Today in History December 10th

It's always nice to take a minute to think about things that have happened in history, so here are a few things for today's date in history I thought I'd share...

On December 10, 1915, the 1 millionth Ford car rolls off the assembly line at the River Rouge plant in Detroit.

 

Between 1908 and 1927, Ford sold more than 15 million Model T's in all: they cost $850 at first (about $20,000 in today's dollars) but by the end of their run, Ford managed to reduce the price to just $300 (about $3,700 today).

On December 10, 1869 Wyoming government became the first government in the world to grant women the right to vote and hold public office.

A plane crash on this day in 1967 took the life of soul singer Otis Redding and took the lifes of 4 teenage members of the Bar-Kays band, who at the time had just been chosed as his touring band.  Otis Redding was famous for many songs including one of my favorite's "Sitting on the Dock of the Bay"

luckily for me I wasn't alive for most of it, but thats interesting how Ford could cut costs so dramatically
