Mortgage Debt Relief Act Expiring.

By
Real Estate Agent with Innovative Realty Solutions Group BK3158345

The Mortgage Debt Relief Act of 2007 will expire at the end of the year. If extended, it will allow continued growth in real estate values by allowing Federal Income Taxes to be forgiven on short sales. Without this extension, more homes will go into foreclosure which hurts everyone. Please write their representatives and senators. http://www.senate.gov/ and http://www.house.gov/ but the best is http://www.congress.org/news/ as the links on the top, right let you email all your Federal and State representatives at once!

The real estate market plays an important role in our economy. Often, your home is your greatest source of wealth. For businesses, commercial real estate creates apartments, hotels, malls, offices, and more which provides a major revenue and source of jobs. When the real estate market drops, so do jobs. We need construction labor to build and renovate homes and buildings, to furnish them and to keep them in repair in order to keep people employed. Nearly 3/4th of our economy is based on personal spending. If consumers don't spend, the economy drops. If people are unemployed, they don't shop, eat out, go to a movie or take vacations. Home prices drop which further drives the economy down causing more unemployment. Please contact Congress and spread the word!
