Things go wrong at the most inconvenient times.

It seams things go wrong at the wrong times.

Today is a good example.  This morning, my Mother-in -Laws furnace went out.  It was cold last night and the furnace worked a bit harder.

I talked with my auto mechanic and he said they were swamped...Cold weather and deferred Maintenance is the big culprit.

Air conditioners work great until you REALLY need them.

So. look at what the weather is and what you will be using and do the maintenance done before the problems come up.

William,

Isn't that the truth.  Just when you least expect it, something will  or can go wrong.  Hope the heat is on soon.

WISHES WARM !!!

Murphy's Law, I suppose!  Our air conditioning units and roofs seem to be the thing that goes quick down here!

I sometimes think about the cost of the annual check of each the AC (spring) and furnace (fall) and how I could use that money differently, until I read something like this!  Good point William!

William -- good reminder, as so many of us need to do some of these deferred maintenance items, which we never seem to have time to accomplish, because if they fail, it will be even more time consuming.

I think some people just don't have the funds right around this time of year, Bill.   Some, any time of the year!

I had a Jeep Cherokee that worked great on paved, clear roads, but the minute it snowed the four wheel drive went out. That was really too bad, because I lived three miles down an unplowed road at 8200 feet in elevation. I got rid of that car and bought a Toyota SUV.

Deferred maintenance is the biggest reason for large repair bills.  I know for some it is money, but they still end up paying in the end.
