Vista Real Estate Market Report December 2012
Vista is a diverse community of just over 93,000 people located 35 miles north of San Diego and 7 miles inland. With 340 days of sunshine a year and the cooling of effect of Pacific Ocean breezes, Vista has what most people would consider a perfect climate. This makes Vista a perfect location for it's many commercial nurseries which grow ornamental plants, flowers, orchids, subtropical fruits and trees.
Vista has 15 community parks, which include the Moonlight Amphitheater, the AVO Playhouse, museums, athletic fields and picnic grounds. The Rancho Buena Vista Adobe and Rancho Guajome Adobe Hacienda, both built in the mid-1800s, serve as windows to the history and lifestyle of an earlier time in Southern California.
Vista offers homes that appeal to the first time home buyer as well as those looking for a estate sized home on acres of land. For more of a country club lifestyle, there are the homes at Shadowridge and Vista Valley golf courses. Vista was hit hard by the housing crisis, but the market here is getting stronger and home prices are rising.
