Humane Society Calumet Area ~Holiday Happenings!
The Humane Society Calumet Area has a “no kill” philosophy. The shelter originated in 1941 when Miss Evelyn Sweitzer founded the group and opened the Hammond Humane Society. The growth they experience prompted them to expand to the present day location in August of 2001.
The shelter is located at 421 45th Ave., Munster, IN 46321, on the corner of Calumet Ave. and 45th Ave.
Donations and adoptions are an important part of keeping the Humane Society Calumet Area open to serve the area. Volunteers and fundraisers play a big part of that. Don’t forget your furry friends during the holidays!

There will be gifts, crafts and baked goods for sale. Bring the kids or your furry friends for a picture with Santa!

The shelter will be hosting Christmas for the animals on December 18, 2012. Donations of toys and treats are appreciated.
The Humane Society Calumet Area has calendars for sale at $15.00 each.
