I'll THINK ABOUT THAT TOMORROW!

This is such a good tip. Taking time to reflect and role play and 'think about it' does help. Many times the whole issue changes or goes away.

I'll THINK ABOUT THAT TOMORROW!

Southern Home

For those of you who are fans of the classic movie "Gone With The Wind", Scarlett O'Hara has a famous quote where she says , " I'll think about that tomorrow".   I have always loved this saying for a variety of reasons.  Sometimes when I just don't have an answer right then or there or I am simply overwhelmed, this is my fall back line.

Now of course I can't use this line as an excuse to escape difficult challenges, but it can help me have the time to regroup, think and to make a plan.  It is never a good idea to answer questions that you aren't sure about with an answer that may be lacking in accurate information.   Also I find that a stressful situation is often a good time to take some time to assess how you will handle it.

For those of us in real estate, every day and each transaction is different and many times met with challenges and questions.  An off the cuff response might not always be the best route to take.  Needing to do some research and getting back to people is best when you don't have all of the facts.

So when you hear me say, "I'll think about that tomorrow" doesn't mean I am brushing you off, it simply means I am working on a solution or gathering information.  Presenting good information is so important in our business.

Miss O'Hara might have been avoiding difficult situations however, as your agent you can know that I am working on getting my clients the best information and the best solution to their questions and roadblocks in a real estate transaction.  Give me a call today and I will let you know if I need to get back with you and I will!

Good reblog, I missed this but will head over and comment there also. And so often what we worry about today is not even a problem tomorrow.
