Winter Show at The Greenhill Center For NC Art
The Winter Show is The Greenhill Center for NC Art in Greensboro, NC is an annual celebration of North Carolina Art. All the way through the holiday season and until January 13th everyone can view and buy works of art from across the state all in one place. This winter The Greenhill Center will feature over 400 pieces from over 100 artist.
A second Holiday Happening is ArtQuest a chance for everyone to experiment with the processes and themes that all of NC artists use to make the art that are here in the Winter Show. You to can make your own masterpiece with an ArtQuest facilitator.
The remaining schedule is:
December 18th thru the 22nd a Black and White winter showing of the art of “Draw, smudge, blend, erase - repeat” is the process of creating art with Charcoal.
December 27th thru the 29th Full Color in pastels as you can come and experience the art of Lucy Spencer with Les Fauvres! Wild Beasts.
January 2nd thru the 5th (Closed January 1) Come experience Winter Show by coming and creating your own Perpetual Calendar by using whatever style you want such as; Paint, Fiber, a Collage perhaps your choice.
January 4th Enjoy a Musical Performance by Travis Corwin
First Friday Performance. Travis Corwin has graduated with a Bachelor’s of Music in Classical Guitar Performance from the University of Oregon in 2011, with extensive experience performing Argentine Tango music and accompanying dance performances. The First Friday performance is free and open to the public. There will be a Cash Bar and light hor d’oeuvres provided by The Fresh Market.
January 8th thru the 12th
The artist Michael Van Hout will exhibit how he draws three dimensionally using wire just like a pencil and paper. Come see the art and then take the chance to try yourself at ArtQuest to manipulate the wire and see what you can create.
