Washougal, WA is a quaint little town. It's a "sister" city to Camas, WA which used to be supported in a big way by Crown Zellerback paper mill, which is now known as Georgia Pacific. Washougal has a friendly home-town rivalry between the two football and basketball teams at the high school level.
There's always something to do here in Washougal if you like to get outdoors. There are plenty of hiking opportunities, the famous motorcross track, dog parks, the Columbia River, Kayaking, Fishing on the Washougal River ....come and get to know us! (We're right next to the "posh" up-scale Camas town. Lots of great shopping there!)
Here is a fun resource page for RiverFacts about the Washougal River! For people traveling here to the Washougal River area to try out some of our white water rafting, RiverFacts has a great map and local hotel page! For those of you who are voracious readers I know you will enjoy Amazon's Book link about White Water Rafting in WA.
There was a lot of highway construction going on between Washougal and Camas, but never fear...it has made travel much easier and much faster to get to the main 205 and I-5 freeways!
