Are You To Opinionated For One blog a Day?

Are You To Opinionated For One blog a Day? My redundant opinion. Do you blog over your own blogs? Do you hide your blog? We all do, you know!

I have a few subscribers and regular readers, I subscribe to many writers blogs, but my readers can miss some of my considered words of wisdom, as I do theirs!

How? How do we diminish our exposure to those who cherish our every word? We express more than one unrelate opinion at a time!

We post more than one blog a day, before our readers have had a chance to finish reading the first! It's a simple thing when you post a blog your subscribers get a notice on their list, your Tweeters get a notice, then when they get time they pull up your blog and enjoy! The problem is they normally only see the latest blog. If you've posted more than one since their last look they often miss the ones in the middle!

It would be easy to say just post one every so often, but how often? I can't tell you. It depends on your readers, do they all check you out in short order or do your readers increase slowly over a period of days? Only you have any idea and only if you watch your statistics.

If your purpose is to be read you may want to seriously consider this. If your purpose is simply to gather points post away!

Hi Bill,

I came over from Kathy's post this morning on her Ah-ha moments for the week! I do agree with Fernando..it depends on why and who you are blogging to..great advice if you're blogging for other members. Otherwise indexing your posts with Google to your customers should be your priority!!

Bill, I missed your post but came over from Kathy's just like Dorie-I think you are right-I tend to try to read one blog per day of my favorite bloggers and I do often miss the second because of the way AR displays blogs-no titles when you look at who you subscribe to.  Oh well, never a perfect system.

Bill - I've never been a huge fan of posting more than one post a day for the exact reason you lay out.  The easiest way to not be read is to not be found and posting more than one blog in a day can often times do that.  BTW, Christmas letter is on its way:)

On the rare day that I've written more than one post, I always stagger their posting for the exact reason you mentioned.

Bill-I agree with your opinion that one can be over-exposed as a blogger. Try to know your audience and get in synch with them with respect to frequency of posts.

See above.

You're right, but I think it may cost some serious readers.

Hello William, I like your title, and yes some weeks I am too opinionated to just post once a day, luckily some of those opinionated blogs never get posted.  I to have noticed that most subscribers never get past the most current blog, so if I really want someone to read a particular blog I just post it and make sure to not post anything above it for a day, and I make sure to leave a bunch of comments on their blogs during that day.
