...pass me the last can of Weekend, please.

Still, no objections here to Sunday, especially Sunday night.

My personal favorite - now that I am (a bit) older.

There is always a great dinner: the best leftovers from Saturday or a nice chicken or pot roast or stew

or in the summer, nice fat thick juicy cheeseburgers. Okay, okay - with a salad-bleu cheese dressing on the side.

And those great Sunday morning new shows are just boring enough to make you wish

you had gone to worship, if you do that kind of thing.

The Sunday paper is still meant to cover you up during the pre-game nap, after brunch with Theresa,-of course.

(She always hogs the funnies...)

Saturday goes all too fast, loud, noisy and late-

rushing to meet friends, get the best table, the best seats in the middle-upper seats at the movie

and off to the club before it gets to be light outside.

And then Monday.

Full of itself and despite its dreary and deserved reputation,

open to opportunity.

The beginning of a NEW week! Something FRESH and EXCITING! Another chance to BEGIN AGAIN!

Stop it, just pleeeeeeeeeease stop it.

I'll settle for Tuesday.

It's that much closer to Sunday night...
