The SIX FACES OF LIZ...vs the three faces of Eve :)

On a dive boat geared up and ready to jump into the tropical waters of Bali!  An avid scuba diver since 1978, I've been to most of the premiere dive spots world wide. From Galapagos Islands, Papua New Guinea, Australia,Thailand, Palau, Costa Rico, British Virgin Islands, Cozumel, Cayman, Belize, and just about everywhere else in the Caribbean.  Diving is my passion, and it is one of the only times I totally am "IN THE MOMENT"! I don't think about selling REAL ESTATE, whats going on with my sellers and buyers, or anything else for that matter except the total experience I am having underwater, it's an incredible feeling.

What I am in search of...and bingo, got the shot, a pair of  Nudie's  mating :)  I don't show my fist attempts of underwater  photography...it's kinda like a first biog...only much worse!  Like everything in life, with lots of practice, your skills improve.

A picture of me with my REAL ESTATE SOLD by LIZ CARTER sign taken 20 years ago in Roatan, off the cost of Honduras.  For some reason I decided it would be kinda cool to take this shoot.  Then when I got back I came up with the tag line I've used for 20+ years in all my ads.  "Before you dive into buying or selling a home...talk to someone who knows the waters."  People call from KATY, HOUSTON, SUGAR LAND, TEXAS and other areas i SELL REAL ESTATE IN and ask to talk to that REALTOR underwater, or, that lady with the goggles.

                        LIZ UNDERWATER

    liz on 4- wheler     africa

That's me with the gun (for snakes only) at my lake house on Lake Limestone Texas, with some of my friends from Katy Texas.  It's about a 21/2 hour dive from door to door, and the blood pressure starts going down real quickly.  A great get away, and a heck of a lot closer to home that the picture on the right.  This one was taken in Africa on a photographic safari.  I think my friend Sandy and I were the only two people that our guide Craig had ever know that spend so much time and shoots of DUNG BEETLES!  We were fascinated by these little industious creatures.  The lions, elephants, leopards, giraffes, zebra, gazelles, rhinos, were pretty cool too :)

I'm the one in the middle :)...this was on a trip to Papua New Guinea on a combination dive trip and land trip.  We were gone for three weeks and it has to be my all time favorite trip in the world, totally fascinating place and people.  The really cool thing about this trip was while I was gone the team stepped up to the plate and even with me gone did 44 transactions in one monthOur best month ever, FORTY FOUR HOMES SOLD IN ONE MONTH by LIZ CARTER & TEAM REALTY!  It still is our record month.

png

Back to reality, yes this is me too, and I am indeed fortunate since I still love what I do!  Helping people buy and sell REAL ESTATE after 32 years.  As much as I look forward to a well deserved trip, I look forward just as much to coming home.  What brought the ideal of this blog to mind was when I first started on Active Rain, I had this picture of me (bottom) on my profile and then I switched it to my underwater photo, I did'nt want anyone on ACTIVE RAIN CONFUSED...not that anyone here is :).  Justin Smith the famous tomato man savvy web guru when I ask his opinion, Justin said, "By all means use the underwater photo, it's different and gets peoples attention."  Which it has for me for many years.  Some people have told me, "it's not professional", "it has nothing to do with SELLING REAL ESTATE", "Liz no one knows it's you"  Well they all might be true statements, but it gets the phone to ring, and people remember it.  Which was the other point to this blog, BE CONSISTENT WITH YOUR ADVERTIZING It PAY OFF.

Hears to happy traveling wherever your wonder lust takes you and heres to a GREAT 08 !!!    Filled with lots of Happy BUYERS AND SELLERS, BY HAVING LOTS OF HOMES SOLD FOR ALL OF MY FRIENDS ON ACTIVE RAIN!  Liz Carter.  WWW.lizcarter.com, 281-391-SOLD (7653), Liz carter & Team Realty, Katy Texas.

Thanks Nancy, it was fun putting it together...wish I was more familiar with how to maneuver in AF, but I'm learning :).  I just sold one of my listings from the Internet from a blog on AR for $400 K, so all the hard work is paying off and I'm learning a ton.  I'll look up some of yours too.  Chow, Liz

Liz,

Awesome pictures!  When I read the title I was expecting a different Nudie!  :)

That's a little too close to that dung!

The one with you packin' is hilarious!

Nice job on your post!

Hi, Liz:

Great photos here! I think your underwater ad is a winner, too. Just Photoshop your hair a bit blonder and keep on using it!

Have a great, relaxing weekend!

Hey Robin, damn good ideal...and I just had the old picture computer enhanced and didn't even think about the hair.  I could have even made it long and flowing while I was at it :).  The only problem with that is I've been using it for over 20 years...wonder if anyone would notice :)  Ive really had great response to it all these years, everyone does the same old "glamor photo shoot (you know the kind, when the agent shows up they ask, where's the lady from the picture on the card", done 20 years ago and the tag lines are the same too...million dollar producer, # 1 in my office, #1 in everything!  Really gets old.  Send me what you use, would love to see it.  Liz

Hi, Liz:

I'm using a not-so-great quality image from my first digital camera, taken in 2003 by my husband. He's not a photographer, and I'm not a model! I admit to Photoshopping it just to get it sharp enough to use on my website, because the image was dark and dingy, too. Anyway, I still kinda look like that now except I'm growing my hair out again in preparation for chopping it all off in a month or so when it drives me bonkers. Happens every few years!

My preferred photo seems to have been in use by someone else. I haven't gotten around to sending her a cease-and-desist order yet.

Cheers,

Robin

Hi Larry, sorry I missed you comment, were you logged onto AR when you made it, it did not show up on my messages?  Anyway glad to see you checking out AR...you will like it, let me know if you need any help?  Liz

Hey Robin, well you look like a professional model, a very beautiful one!  I LOVE the photo it's great.  Why do you go to all that trouble to grown out you hair out and they cut it off, it looks so cute short.  What I really want to see it the picture someone else is using, and more importantly the story behind it, really got me curious now.  Maybe you should do a blog on it :).  Chow Liz

Liz, I loved your pictures.  Our daughter has always wanted to go to the Galapagos Islands.  She is a graphic artist turned flight attendant based out of JFK.  She works for a charter company doing international flights and when they told her they went to strange places like Galapagos that was it she was in.  They actually have only went there once but who knows she just got back from a Southeast Asia trip where she had 30 some hours in Tailand.  She is literally seeing the world.

We love sailing and took a sailing trip this last year to the Virgin Islands; we didn't dive but snorkled and it was wonderful.  Thanks again for sharing your beautiful pictures.

Hi Marchel, it is nice to meet you, and that is so exciting for your daughter!  There is no education better than traveling the world and seeing and meeting different cultures, I have loved every minuet of it and the more remote the better.  I truly hope you get to the Galapagos, you should go with her, truly fascinating small piece of our world.  The BVI'S are one of my all time favorites, talk about no stress...sailing around the BVI'S, YES.  Would love to repeat that trip too :), maybe we should plan a trip?  I'm in far west Houston, and work it and Katy and west of Katy, so we need to hook up for referrals, and to help each other here on the Rain?  I'll add you as an associate and put you in my TP data base for referrals to Spring.  Liz

Hi again my friend, glad you you liked it.  Scuba diving has been my love & passion for 30+ years.  I have just found out I have COPD and doctor told me I can't dive any more, since I have a high chance of a collapsed lung...was devastating to me.  Talk to you soon.  Liz

Liz, What an amazing woman AND Realtor you are! I loved your post. My better other half is a diver as well. I"m working on it, but don't want to take the last test in the lake, lol...what a wienie, right?

I hope I have the opportunity to meet you someday. You are an awesome person!  Elizabeth (the "other" Liz)

Elizabeth, I don't blame you that sucks.  My advice is to take all your class room stuff here, fly to Cozumel and I hook you up with the more knowledgeable, kindest, safest dive master in the world and he can certify your open water.  You are smart Mrs. Elizabet not a wienie ::  Elizabeth Ann
