Are you a Doomsday Prepper in Florida? Do you need a "Bug Out" Location? For those of you who have no clue what I am talking about, Doomsday Preppers is a show on the National Geographic Channel.
The show is about "preppers" who are preparing for a local or national disaster. Some are prepping for an earthquake along the San Andreas Fault, some are preparing for F5 Tornadoes, some are preparing for hurricanes, a terrorist attack, economic collapse, etc...The point of the show is that these people are preparing themselves by stocking up food, ammo, gold, silver, you name it, they stock it. They want to be able to survive should access to much needed resources be cut off for an extended period of time.
The thing that really caught my attention with this show is that the expert preppers suggest that you have a "bug out" location. A "bug out" location is basically what our grandparents used to call a "fallout shelter". It is a place of refuge. Away from the general population. A place that can be easily protected and self sufficient. Now when watching this show, I think some of the scenarios that people are prepping for are a little far fetched.
However, here in Florida, we do have the possibility of a potentially devastating hurricane. It is not too far fetched to have a massive hurricane run over this state and cause tremendous amounts of problems. When catastrophe strikes, problems arise quickly.
Lake County Florida would be a great place for a "bug out" location. We have one of the highest points in the entire state. If we flood here, well...I guess you should have moved to Georgia.
But seriously, we have lots of vacant land that is still available that could meet your Doomsday Prepper Bug Out needs. Feel free to check my website, Platinum International Realty Group LLC for possible "bug out" locations. You will need to select the ADVANCED search option for vacant land.
Better to be safe than sorry!! Happy Prepping!!
