Beautiful Winter’s Morn on Christmas Fishhawk Lake!
Woke up to a blue-white morning. (My husband is stuck in Vegas, so I'll send this to him to remind him of the beauty of Fishhawk Lake). Nothing like the early golden lights coming from a cabin on the lake on a cold morning.
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!
Oh, Gayle, that is SO beautiful, and you did a WONDERFUL job of capturing not only the beauty, but the peace and the cold of your surroundings, also. Hope you are well, dear lady.

Lovely - I'm sure it makes Larry wish he was home. I keep hoping to wake up to a blanket of snow. We are seeing a bit of white falling - but so far, it's not sticking. Oh well, at least I got to see it in Bend.

Than, I'm with you in that I don't like cold either. That's why it was nice to take the photo from INSIDE looking OUT. Ironically, there are buyers driving in from the airport who just flew in from Hawaii and are coming to see their new purchase--a cabin on the lake!
Rob, thank you! He's winging his way to the east coast and will hopefully make it for the funeral. He's been trying since Monday--socked in, flights cancelled--not good.
Debb, of course the thing he's telling me to do is make sure to keep up with getting the snow off the tarp on the boat--I would LOVE IT if you were here right now joining me for cinnamon-flavored coffee! (It's a whiteout here right now, can't see the lake except for a little dark shape swimming by my window).

Words do not do this picture justice - this is epitome of what I'd like to wake up to on Christmas morning! I would frame that and hang it on my wall in a heartbeat. You take such beautiful pictures, and somehow you always get the setting to cooperate just so :)
I'm sorry to hear about your mother-in-law and hope your husband is dealing with it okay. Never easy to lose a parent, particularly during the holidays. Much love and support from me to you.
Mona, I would take this over cold rain and 75 mph winds which is what we JUST got through prior to the snow. Yeah, it's tough waking up to photo-ops on a daily basis. But SOMEBODY'S GOTTA DO IT.

I agree with Brian (not hard to do :) ). One of our best kept secrets is our weather. We had some snow the other day, but it's gone in about 12 hours. Now they are calling for snow tonight, but it was a beautiful sunny day, so we'll see. Hugs. I've MISSED YOU!
