When Buying A Home Don't Skip The Home Warranty--
Is this fan mail from raving clients? Nope, the post man is limited to lifting 70 lbs, so I have to pick those up at the station. These are courtesy cards from a home warranty company.
Each time one of my clients file a claim, I receive a courtesy card. This stack is just the ones delivered today! 10 cards, each one representing a time when a home system failed them. Imagine the relief these new home owners felt when these issues became the home warranty company's problem?
Do these plans really pay for themselves? I cannot disclose specific claims, but understand several of these cards represent 1,000 dollar plus paid claims. The grand-daddy of them all?? 2,561 dollars!!!!
