2013 Polar Bear Plunge Nashville TN

This year there are several Polar Bear Plunges to choose from!

January 1, 2013 the annual YMCA Camp Widgiwagan plunge Polar Bear Plungewill take place at noon. This New Years Day event will take place on the Shores of Percy Priest Lake at the Camp.

Registration starts at 10:30. After your plunge, warm your toes by the Fire in the Lodge and enjoy some hot chocolate! Wear your best costume because there will be prizes!

 

January 12, 2013, Lebanon Polar Plunge raises money for the Wilson County Special Olympics. The plunge will take place at the Jimmy Floyd Family Center in Lebanon, TN.

February 16, 2013 Nashville Polar Plunge also raises money for the Special Olympics. We love their Freezin for a Reason! motto. Their goal is to raise $50,000 this year. Each participant is able to set up a website on their home page and are asked to raise $50 in donations. It's a great cause.

When we wrote about this a couple of years ago we only knew of the New Years Day event. Now there are options! Chose one or do all three!

Connie, great fundraiser, but I thought only those crazy northerners like me from places like Chicago did things like this...the Polar Bear Club also jumps into Lake Michigan...glad to see eveyone getting into the fun!
