Tired of Figgy Pudding? Non-Traditional Holiday Events in Los Angeles

Griffith Observatory is my suggestion for a non-traditional free holiday event, and quite possibly the best thing to experience in Los Angeles. The pictures on this article are from spontaneous visit last week to Griffith Observatory, I’m dreaming about this place and looking forward to my next visit.

The view, the grounds, the architecture, the history will fill you up. On top of that, learning about the stars, planets, and the world will have you looking at the sky in a whole new way. (Oh, and be sure to stop at Yuca's on Hillhurst for burrito's and taco's)

If you want to get out have a non-traditional experience this holiday season, Griffith Observatory has the following free events for you:

that is a great idea - oh, and thanks for letting us know the world is not coming to an end... I was at Starbucks at the Beverly center and saw an LA cup with the observatory on it. it's a landmark.

Terkel yes, it is an amazing landmark. Can't believe I didn't go sooner, didn't know what I was missing.

Paula me too! A few of my office mates were talking about this Mayan calender end of the world, love that Griffith Observatory breaks it down. We'll see if we are all still here in a few days ;)
