My newest website re-design (Emergency - need a website NOW)

By
Services for Real Estate Pros with Your Virtual Assistant

Donna's current (canned) website company basically messed her up... used photos that were not theirs to use.  Then to top it off, her site "disappeared".  So this was an emergency, I need a website NOW situation.  Since she already liked her colors and photographs (though they weren't actually hers - yikes), I kept it somewhat similar & was able to get this site up for her within about a week, maybe week & a half.  It is at www.DonnaShealor.com.

I have also worked on the following Stager's websites, if you have time, take a look:

www.SimplyElegantHomeStaging.com

www.Staged-to-Sell.com

I LOVE it.  What I love the best about the way Chris does these is that she gets to know the person first and the site then reflects their personality.  I know Donna and Daniella and this hit them right on the button.  You give it the personal, extra, uncanned look.  GOOD work Chris.

Thank you all - I think Donna & Daniella are pleased with it.  They've given me one referral already!

Martin - yours can look that good... all it takes is an email to get started : )

And Thanks Mom ! (In case anyone didn't know yet, Terrylynn is my mom, hence the consistent rave reviews).

Thanks Chris - Not a severe change, but I think made a big difference.  And not using copyrighted photos might help out too!  lol

Great job Chris. You always rise to the occasion and make me look better so I had no doubt you could do this for them! If you are reading this comment and do not have someone who is fantastic at working on your website call Chris. She is great and always there when I need her and soooo reasonable.

Chris, I like the new site much better than the old one.  The old one just looked like everyone else's. Even if she used pictures she wasn't supposed to use they were just in the same old boring mode.  It almost reminded me of those Realtor postcards that you send out my snail mail.  Nice job with the re-design.

Thanks Marchel!  I agree, I get tired of the canned sites where everyone is the same. They might have more bells & whistles built in but there is something to be said for a personalized site.

Love the look! Don't forget the meta tags and the all important key words that help your site be found.  It might be worthwhile to get a professional to make sure you can be found, so that buyer's can find your great site.  Check into IDX, as this allows you to show other realtors listings.  Why would you want to do this you ask?  So they can use your site as a source and they do not have to go any where else.  Also if you sell all of your listings they will still come back to your site time after time.  There is an IDX group on active rain so you can find out more about it there.  We have been using IDX on our site for 3 years and we now have 300 visitors to our personal site daily.  They usually spend 10 minutes on the site and look at about 12 pages on average.  Business is great, I do not call expireds, I do not call FISBOs, we get most of our new business from the internet and repeat.

Thanks Marjorie & Doug.  Actually, this realtor isn't interested in that... her site is just for her current clients.  But I will use that information for others.

Chris, you are a miracle worker. How you ever got such a nice website up in such a short period of time is just amazing. Fantastic!!! It is also cool that you have such great insight into what home stagers need on their websites. Very nice!

You are so sweet Yvonne!  Thanks so much.  Donna is a top producer at my mom's office, so she was not able to be without her site... Luckily she got me at a slow time & I could give her top priority.  I'm glad you like the site.  Right now I'm working on one for a painter and one for a gift basket store.  A little variety... I'm used to only Realtors & Home Stagers!  Well, and my daughter & her "BFF" (www.AmReeTV.com).

Nice change!  I think it takes a revamping every 6 months or so, to keep a fresh looking site....or maybe I do it cause I get sick of looking at the other one!!!  Well done!

Elaine, I would agree, revamping and getting a fresh look is imperative.  Chris started doing this initially because people were getting the template sites and all looked the same, then because they wanted to update and I think her name says it all...    www.stagingwebsites.com  That's really what she does, get to know you and fits the site to you and your image.  I'm pretty proud of her work,  And, just because I am her mom doesn't mean anything, she's good at what she does.  Her current challenges are a client who has horrible taste and color choices (wonder if he's color blind)...and how to convince him to go with something a little more updated.  I am anxious to see how she dies it and how it turns out.

Way too late, but thank you KYM for your kind words!  And Terrylynn, of course.

Jennifer - Yes, it does take longer to load depending on connection.  But we went with it anyway.  I'm glad you liked it.

Elaine - Yes, re-vamping is probably a very good idea.  It's hard to make the time for it.  But I think when people come back and it's always the same they may think it's never updated for content either.
