There was a high wind advisory and an expectation of below freezing temperatures.I woke up this morning at 6:15 with the ground covered with snow, flurries flying madly everywhere, winds blowing hard enough to make the trees sway and the thermometer proclaiming 22 degrees. Yippee. I fed the dogs and let the big guys out into the back, leashed up the little guys and stepped out into a wind sharp enough to make me wince. Maybe I'm not great 
about figuring wind chill factors but the temperature with the wind felt like 200 degrees below zero. As my mother would say...yitch.

As my mother would say...yitch.Normally, this would have been a great day to work from home but we had an appointment to show a home and knew there would be a contract negotiation to deal with. It seemed like a good day to warm up the car so it would be toasty when we got in. Nothing beats the frustration of finding out the car doors are frozen shut. There would be no rushing into town today! I got a long extension cord and a hair blow dryer and stood outside defrosting the door.
Our whole day has been plagued with these unusually high winds, according to the weather reports some of the gusts are up to 70 mph. They should subside by mid day tomorrow. As I sit here at the computer next to the sliding glass doors, I can feel the wind sneak in. Brrr.
