35 here, but super strong winds and pretty rotten. But inside in front of the fire... not too bad.
Funny...you were commenting on mine while I was commenting on your needing a nap post, lol.
Mona: I'm hoping for some snow here, just enough so I can make a snow angel and snowman so I can SKYPE my little grandsons in Hawaii. So far? Only rain, lots and lots of it. Your area looks beautiful, by the way.
Praying for snow here! Praying for anything wet here! We've had the high winds that have caused havoc and it was a mere 18 this morning... Brrrrrr..... Now let it snow... Let it snow... Let it snow :)
Hi Mona, It was frosty this morning when I walked my dog. Overnight temperatures has been hovering around 42 degrees which is pretty cold for Southern California. NC does look like a lovely place to call HOME.
Sarah
Hi Mona, Thanks for sharing your lovely weather and I especially like the second photo. This is not the type of weather that we expect to see in your corner of the country, it this due to the higher altitude?
Hella, I wish I could split this weather with you...that way the winds would die down a bit and the temps might be in the 40s, lol.
John, I'm not a big fan of weather in the teens and I'm sure we'll get our share yet...maybe even tonight. However, if it is your holiday wish to see a lot of the white stuff then I'll wish it for you too.
Sarah, I have a dog named Frosty! 42 is very chilly for S CA.
Hi Bob, this isn't unusual for us in the winter and yes, I'd say the elevation has something to do with it. We are at 3400 feet in Balsam. I'm glad you liked the photo.
Mona, only in the low 50's last evening here in Southwest Florida with the winds blowing in the mid-teens and almost everyone saying "Yitch!" Enjoy your day!
Nothing can be frightful when Ella is singing................incomparable!
Wayne, as you know, you are just across the river from my mother in Port Charlotte. She isn't happy with this cold snap.
Roger, somehow I knew you'd like the musical selection.
Mona~beautiful, frightful, yitch...let's add oy vey! No power outages though, so be thankful. I loved how resourceful you were.
Roger, she sings "Blue Skies" on the same album, also awesome.
Hi Gayle, it's clearer today...still cold but at least the sun was out.
Hi Mona,
We are expecting rain tonight but will probably get a half to 1 inch only so nothing to get excited about. Brr, just reading your post makes me want to light the fireplace. I personally hate the wind as it makes you feel like you are standing outside in your nightgown freezing cold. Glad you got home safely and Happy Holidays.
Kristin, the cold weather itself is no big...but the wind makes it painful.
