I don't know about your marketplace, but things really got jumping here in Central Louisiana toward the last half of the year.  From August until now, I've had experiences I've never had in my seven-year real estate career.  I'm speaking of multiple offers on three different priced listings in a three-week period and six closings in one month. 

What brought on this influx of buyers?  What made them step through the open door to home ownership?

Was it finally realizing interest rates were about as low as they were going to get?  Did they finally resolve credit issues to the point they could buy?   More than likely it was a combination of factors.

Whatever it was, I can say I just experienced my best year in real estate ever!  Buyers are buying and sellers are selling.  Let's step into 2013 with the faith and confidence that the bottom of the market has been reached, and the upswing has begun.
