Christmas Eve In Old Town Albuquerque
This Christmas Eve in Old Town Albuquerque Debbie, Dixie Dawg and I enjoyed strolling around enjoying the abundance of festive sights and sounds. The crisp night air and glowing luminaries gave the true feel of Christmas in the high desert.
We enjoyed the 55 foot Christmas Tree in the center of Old Town Plaza. The carolers sang beautiful Christmas songs. We enjoyed the reenactment and live nativity scene. Kids were thrilled with the hands on petting zoo. Sounds of live music drifted around Old Town as we meandered through the plaza square, alleys and backstreets. The (real) Mexican food restaurants were busy serving delicious New Mexico favorite meals. Of course coffee and cocoa were readily available on many of the street corners. Mass was held at the iconic San Felipe De Neri church and the unique shops of Old Town were open for those last minute gifts.
We were blessed with a beautiful Christmas Eve in Old Town Albuquerque and hope you and yours are blessed with the joy and happiness this wonderful celebration of Christ's birth and arrival. Merry Christmas from our home to yours!
