Wilton is completing a revaluation of all real property for the October 1, 2012 Grand List. The new proposed assessment is based on 70% of the market value as of October 1, 2012.

You can contest the assessment revaluation now for this year with the revaluation company, Vision Government Solutions. You will need the Parcel ID# and Schedule from your letter to make your appointment. You may make an appointment to meet with them at www.vgsi.com/schedules in Wilton to schedule the 2013 appointments starting at December 27, 2012, and no later than January 7, 2013.
The time is here to file your petition with the Board of Assessment Appeals - must be in their hands by February 1 - 20, 2012 to be scheduled for a hearing. Not postmarked by February 20 - but rather IN THEIR HANDS by 4:30 pm on February 20.
The board will notify you of the times, date and place of your hearing. Petitions are available in the Assessor's Office starting January 1st.
There are no fees.
