The numbers are in for the first 11 months of 2012 for real estate sales in New Castle County, Delaware. Even though closed sales were up almost 19% over the same time in 2011, November brought only a 3% bump in prices, bringing the median price for the year so far to a total DROP of 5%.
This is in contrast to Kent County, Delaware, where the median price change for the first 11 months of 2012 was UP almost 3%. Of course the median sale price in Kent County was $10,000 below the median for the New Castle, the county just to the north.
