2013 Paint Color Trends - What Colors Can Home Stagers Use?

Every year the top paint manufactures (Pantone, Benjamin Moore, Sherwin Williams, Behr) release their paint color trends for the upcoming year. As a home stager and interior redesigner, I try to draw inspiration from color on many level. I must admit, my curiosity over the new color trends always has me wondering if these colors can used in the average home.

My favorite color of the year in Benjamin Moore's yellow. This pale yellow can be used in many staged homes to bring in more light.

Benjamin Moore has released Color Stories for 2013. At least half of these colors could be used for the home staging part of my business. The Color Stories have shades of gray, naturally neutral, earthen hues, elemental greens, and golden fields.

Kate - It's always so exciting when the new colours of the year are announced. I think the brighter, bolder colours can always be used as accent colours in cushions or artwork. I do love the Benjamin Moore Lemon Sorbet and can see their either on the wall or in accents.

Sherwin Williams came by last week, and ironically, I see the earth tones are quite simliar. Elemental Greens seem to work with Greys, Blues and Greens. The Golds seem to work with Rusts, Browns, and Reds. Most of my clients do not have the decor to work that well wilth the grey tones..unfortunately. I'm not going to be an Emerald person.
