New Years Eve In New York City is expected to draw record crowds this year. If you are one of the million party goers here is a highlight and timeline for some of the major events lined up.
3pm - All of the streets in and around Times Square will close down in preparation for the nights festivities.
6pm - The New Year's Eve Ball will be illuminated and the journey to the top of 1 Times Square will begin
6:03 - The opening ceremonies will begin with a performance from the Sino-American Friendship Association between 46th & 47th St.
7:18 - Train will perform their new single "Mermaid", many are excited for that!
8:34 - Neon Trees will perform a mixture of their hits "Animal", "Lessons In Love", and "Everybody Talks".
9:35 - Carly Rae Jepson will perform a mixture of "The Kiss" and "Call Me Maybe".
10:20 - The USO's Liberty Bells Will perform "A Military Salute" in honor of our hard working troops.
10:37 - Psy will perform "Gangham Style", hopefully for the last time...did I just say that out loud? :o)
11:15 - The Associated Press will present its newsreel of highlights from 2012
11:38 - Ms. Taylor Swift will perform a mixture of her most popular songs
11:56 - Train will perform again, this time a cover of John Lennons "Imagine". that should be something to see...and hear!
11:59 - The 60 second countodown until ball drop begins!
Midnight - You guessed it, HAPPY NEW YEAR! The show ends at 12:15
