Rob Baldwin decided that I was a bit mysterious/unknown/perhaps interesting?? so he has chosen to tag me for a MeMe.
This is my second MeMe so I will refer you to my previous MeMe if you want more of me after you read this. lol
I am a second generation REALTOR. My mother owns her own company in Tamworth, NH call Lloyd and Day Real Estate. She has been in "the business" for over 25 years.
I began my real estate career in 1994 as an administrator for a company in Hampton Falls, NH. I soon decided I needed my license to perform my job more effectively so I went to real estate school at CMSU and got licensed along with my hubby of 38 years, Mike.
Once licensed and knowing we could not start our sales careers together Mike went to work at a Century 21 office and I stayed on as administrator to have a steady income. In 1998 I joined Mike at Century 21 and have not looked back. In 2005 we made the move to Prudential Verani Realty the most innovative company in New Hampshire.
Our daughter Amie Varney is joining "Team Tuscano". She is a third generation REALTOR. Our new motto is:
Team Tuscano - "We'll Guide Your Family Home"
We have 2 granddaughters and 3 grandsons so perhaps the tradition will continue to yet another generation.
I love the Boston Red Sox. I have been a fan as long as I can remember. The first game I attended was between theYankees and Red Sox at Fenway Park in Boston.
I was about 9 years old and I remember Mickey Mantle getting up to bat and I was cheering for him to get a hit. My Dad told me to sit down because he was a Yankee but I said "Dad, it's Mickey Mantle!". I knew he was famous and he was a great player. I didn't sit down or shut up.
I also remember that Ted Williams played in that game and hit a home run. I went crazy. We left in the 8th inning to beat the crowd. The Red Sox lost 6-5. I didn't care, I loved the Red Sox win or lose.
I lived through the 1967 "Impossible Dream Team" losing in game seven to the Cardinals. Each day of that series when the games were in Fenway our High School Head Master let us out 1 hour early so those lucky enough to have tickets could attend the games and those not so lucky could go home and not miss the first pitch.
I lived through the 1975 seven game series when they lost to the Reds. I lived through the 1986 series when they lost a heart breaker to the Mets. So many disappointments, so many heartbreaks. I am so glad I now get to witness 2 winning teams in 2004 and 2007. Winning is becoming more common place in New England these days but win or lose I am still a Red Sox fan.
