Last night I had dinner with close friends. It was a holiday get together and was something I looked forward to. We met at their home, had drinks and exchanged gifts before going to a local place for dinner. I got some lovely things for my new home and gave some flameless candles. When my friends opened the box they were thrilled: the kind of thing they liked but would never buy themselves. That's exactly what they said. So things were great until we tried to turn the handles on. Two of the three did not work. It was really embarrassing. I'll live but I am done with things and businesses where I can't speak to the owner in English. I am made in America from here on in.
