Head over to the Smithsonian Gallery of Art Sculpture Garden Ice Rink for Ice Skating.
My family and I jump on the Orange Line Metro 
in Fairfax and head straight over to the Smithsonian. Then its just a quick walk to the Art Sculpture Garden where an Ice Rink is set up among the outdoor sculptures. My family has a blast ice skating while music is being played, enjoying the ambiance.
The Ice Rink is open from mid-November through mid-March.
It's $8.00 for two hours.
