Excuses kill dreams... so kill the excuses instead. Excuses are the easy way out... for the weak. You are not weak. 2013 is going to be an amazing year for alot of people and its also going to be average for alot of other people. What separates the to groups? Excuses. Those that are going to have an amazing year will not make excuses. They are going to go after what they want and accept nothing but what they what. Those that are making excuses are weak and not in control. Get rid of the excuses and get control of your dreams.

Same actions get the same results - so change that attitude, try new actions and watch the growth. I have decided to hire a coach to help me with my career for this coming year so I can double my production. This will be possible by keeping me focused and on track. Plus if I am paying for a service - it motivates me to use it, too!!

Best wishes for a terrific 2013 and beyond! Nice to meet you here on activerain!

How true. A mirror is a wonderful thing; looking in the mirror often, (metaphorically speaking) is a very good exercise. I NEVER blame others for my life's shortcomings; instead try to figure out where I have gone wrong and how I let it happen, assuming full culpability for my actions. I also NEVER look back, but try to make the best of the situation, bending to the pressure instead of breaking with it. Survived the slaughter of the ongoing recession – not only survived it, but also journeyed on a different track, just to make the very best of the situation.

I have no patience for those of us feeling sorry for themselves or for those that will tell you why something cannot be done (bureaucrats take note). Everything is possible if your heart is in the right place and your mind is set.

Reasons are fine, but you are right in saying we should always take a chance on our dreams. :)

Following one's dream and not giving up is a gift.  It is not always possible as life happens, I don't especially care for the word "weak" as it is such a negative thing when thought of in not achieving your dreams.  Sometimes we just need to change course in order to get back on tract to begin achieving our dreams.  It is not a smooth and easy road and has lots of paths that can take one in different directions that could lead one astray and that is where perhaps an excuse would come into play, does not make you weak, in my opinion, just perhaps confused on how it can be done and how to get back on tract.
