Calling All Birding Realtors

By
Real Estate Agent with NatureWise Realty 310362

As an avid birder, I spend much of my time with other birders. Many of them have asked me to find areas for them as a retirement destination. It's pretty easy to find great places to bird - but these folks are looking for areas where birding is a HUGE way of life.

Suggestions of places with active birding clubs and groups would be welcome. Visited Madera Canyon once and it was a birder's heaven. Places like that!

Would love to develop a resource list of Realtor Birders that we could refer to. People who can tell you all the local birding secrets and do a lot of bu$ine$$ as well.

Birder, is that a bird watcher?  I never hear of that term before but I do eat chicken.

Take care!

While I am not a dedicated birder, I do enjoy identifying birds that we see in our yard.  Baton Rouge and areas west to Lafayette, LA are great for birding.  Have you heard of Avery Island?  It is a wintering ground for a lot of birds.  A few years ago we visited over there and saw hundreds of robins that stayed for the winter.  I'm sure there are other areas in southern LA that would offer a lot of birding adventures for retirees.

I was birding in Madera Canyon this morning, and photographed an Elegant Trogon.  Come on over and check it out on my blog!

Hey Nina,

My name is Chad Lariscy and I am a new Agent with Robert Rogers and Blairsville Realty. I wanted to introduce myself in hopes that we can do some business together in the future.

I am not a "Birder," and I have never even heard that terminology until reading your blog. My Mother-In-Law loved watching the birds, and I would occasionally sit with her and watch as well. I have to admit, it isn't my favorite thing to do.

Make it a GREAT day!

Chad
