The President's last State of the Union address discussed our issues and said he would revamp Fannie Mac and Fannie Mae.  Wonder what he might mean by that?  If you want to guess please do so.  I currently have an offer out on a foreclosure I'm waiting on right now, but I don't think he was talking about my deal.

I'm sorry but the issues we have in Michigan don't seem to be realized at the national level.  Maybe politics are really like real estate: best dealt with at the local level.

I just don't think the history books in Michigan will look kindly at this President but again, many people will say the problems are local as well.

THe President seems so detached to what is going on here in this country.  I bet he knows more about Iraq.

I watched the state of the union address - I'm disappointed. Can you spell LAME DUCK!

Matt, I would have to agree.  Thanks for stopping by.

Carol, yes, many are disappointed I think.

Julie,  thanks for stopping by tonight.  The economy has just got to turn around...some time soon.  I'm still hopeful!

George W. Bush is the only president my 3 daughters have ever know.  My six year old was sad because he will be leaving office.  Leave it to a child to respect the office and not the person.

While I think that there are a lot of things that should have been done differently, better that he was there than the other choices...

Hi Karen:  I think the absolute greatest thing about George Bush's State of the Union tonight... was that it was his LAST State of the Union message.  Thank heaven for such favors.  I am sorry... but just look at that silly "smirk" on his face.

Karen,

I agree that the rest of the country does not share/realize the issues in Michigan. I am in RI and according to the stats, we are second to Michigan, so I think I do understand. As for the State of the Union, my husband is in charge of the remote at our house. I read a great book:) There was no need for us to watch it. There will be no changes of any magnitude made.

After voting for him twice, and now kicking myself for doing so, I couldn't stomach watching it.  I am a registered Republican and have never voted Democrat in my life ... but I think I will be changing that this election.  I truly believe that our economy needs opposite what it has had for the last 8 years.

Karen and Derek:  At least I can go to sleep at night knowing I did not vote for him.  Nor did I vote for his Father.  Nor for his mother, either... LOL.  Actually... his mother I might have voted for if she had run for office.
