Yes, to quote Jackie Gleason, how sweet it is!!
I rarely stay up as late as I did last night. It was worth it! It was wonderful!
Ending fabulously, I slept very well. It has been a while since the playoffs.
This is the back side of a T-shirt my brother gave me for Christmas. The front side is a bit graphic (no words) so I won't show it. Let's just say it involves a warrior standing over a heap of, well a heap, and a bloody tomahawk.
But this side says it all!
I'm told I went to my first Redskin game when I was three or four.
It was at Griffith Stadium, a wooden stadium in use from 1911-1965. It only held about 30,000 people.
My great uncle took me.
I don't remember much about the game, only that I was cold, stood on newspaper to keep my feet warm, and my great uncle had a blanket for both of us.
Family lore has it that when we got home I was asked how I liked the game. I said,
"NO RUNNING GAME!"
That must have been pretty funny. Obviously that is what I heard everyone screaming all game long.
So, this final game was a great capstone to a season which may have something to say about the future. The ending to the season could not have been sweeter!
BRING IT ON!
Say, is that the Redskin band I hear still playing??
