2013 Annual Houston Texas International Boat Show
Reliant Center in Houston Texas will host the 57TH Annual International Boat Show & Travel Show beginning on Friday January 4, 2013. I believe this event is the largest Outdoor Boat Show on the entire Gulf Coast as per the show promoters literature. As usual the crowd expected to be huge. There will be over 1,000 powerboats, luxury cruisers, fishing boats and personal watercraft on display. Several boat manufacturers and dealers will be offering pre-boating season deals.

The show will also exhibit a huge selection of travel trailers, campers and other accessories for outdoor type of fun seekers.
In addition to the boats and campers there will be several exhibits for the entire family. Vendors will have for sale will be a large array of items including but limited to hot tubs, jewelry, excursions to Alaska, exotic fishing trips with guides and many other exciting items.
I know my step-sons and their dad who are all into sailing will be interested enough to go and spend many hours looking at all the sights, sailboats and powerboats. If you do attends please let me know what you thought of this show and all things connected to it.

If anyone from Katy Texas plans to go to this show the traffic at least on the weekends and non rush hour should be easy to deal with and travel time might be about 30-45 minutes one way. I recently drove to Kirby Dr. which is close to Reliant Center on two consecutive Friday evenings from Katy and made it in less than 30 minutes.

* Houston Texans will finish the football season as Division champions. As a result, they will gain home-field advantage in the playoffs and play the Cincinnati Bengals on saturday January 5 . Due to contractual obligations between the Texans and Reliant Park, the Boat Show will be required to close the day of the playoff game. In an effort to make up for some of that lost time and give you more time at the Boat Show, we are extending our hours Wednesday-Friday.

The onsite ticket windows will open 30 minutes prior to show opening and close 30 minutes prior to show closing.
