Let us start it over

Setting goals is important.  Every first day of the month, or last, should be a time of reflection on what you want and need to accomplish.

Sarah and Les Oswald have put it out there for everyone to see.  Let's give them kudos for making it "permanent" for all to see.

Let us start it over.

2012 has come and gone. The world is still spinning and doing quite well. I am glad to declare that I was right and the Mayans were incorrect. Fiscal cliff is still hanging over the House, but there is hope in the near horizon.

I woke up today looking for Southern California sunshine, but all I got was a micro second glimpse of the cold sunrise over the clouds. But it was beautiful...the reddish glow over the horizon will be ingrained for years to come. This showed me that I have to be on the lookout for beauty at the right time and the right place. It might only be visible for a second and only to a few, but it was there! This is what I tell my clients, be prepared and when the opportunity presents itself, you are ready to grab it...first come, first served.

I start every year with new resolutions which usually entails to loose weight and refrain from losing my wonderful personable composure. It usually lasts about a month and then I start wishing for the new year so that I can start again.

This year, it will be different...no resolutions. I will just improve on what I have been doing all year.

1. Blog daily

2. 11 comments per day instead of 10 comments per day

3. 6 new contacts per day instead of 5 new contacts

4. 6 follow ups per day instead of 5 follow ups

5. 1 extra closing per month

6. 15% toward marketing instead of 10%

7. Spend 2 hours toward non profit organization

8. Wake up at 5:30 instead of 6:00

9. Walk the dog twice around the park instead of once

10. Work out 1 hour before bed for stress reliever and good health

I believe that if I just continue doing what I been doing that things will just come into place and there won't be a need for new resolutions and new starts. Things will just fall into place...I just have to do it.

I feel relieved...no resolutions this year, not going to try to reinvent the wheel. Just going to improve on what has been working for the past year.

Happy New Year and wishing you all success and prosperity for 2013!
