I've actually read that the percentage is more around 90%.
We have five websites, each featuring our Luxury homes for sale. Our main site is www.ArizonaParadiseLiving.com
We also market our listings on (depending on the listing price) anywhere form 5-20 external web sites.
My thoughts on operating multi web sites is simple. Stand in the pouring rain look up, each rain drop is a potentcial client, so if I duplicate myself 1,2,3 or 5 times. I should catch buckets full of rain or buyers/sellers.
Seems simple, NOT. Each web site needs to have/provide different content than the others. So what I did is create custom "Neighborhood Specialist" web sites.
Trust me, invest the time or money. I had 5 actual buyer leads just on Friday. WOW!!
Please note : This is not an overnight deal, your web designer MUST understand the SEO process. Also, don't fall for the common therory that a "Links" page is the answer. It's all about UNIQUE CONTENT, and keeping your site fresh for the users. You want the users to come back offten. Make your site a source for your market place.
Most Importantly, Have Fun!!
