inecrest community in Alexandria Virginia is a great place to raise family. I should know, I raised both of my kids there. Actually, the address is Alexandria, but folks recognize this area as Annandale. Kids actually play outside… Amenities in the Pinecrest community include county nine hole golf course, great jogging trail, three duck ponds (more in Pinecrest Golf Course), restaurants, bars, Home Depot, etc. Teachers and faculty at Columbia Elementary are superb. Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology (TJHSST) is walking distance.
All of Annandale area, especially Pinecrest Community, one can easily access major highways. Three major routes to DC from Pinecrest Community are I395, Columbia Pike, Route 50, and I495 and I66 are only few miles.
