Ron and I love these big boulders on the beach on Sandyland Beach in Carpinteria. They support mussels and other bivalves, and the crabs that hide among them. Wishing you all a delightful Wednesday and a great start on 2013.

Hi Alexandra - I shared Sharon's thought when I looked at your lovely picture. I look out my window and see the beach of our lake and there aren't any fat guys without shirts hanging around the ice and snow. You've got the better deal.

How diametrically opposed we are today! Offering two completely different winter views...both inviting, depending upon your needs, huh? Today was a sun-shiny day, so I'm not feeling quite as envious of your beach...however, I think it reached a high of 31. The two dogs and I hiked up the Blue Gate Trail today after I got my work done. So much more fun than being on the treadmill!

Yes, but we both love the water in all its states. I agree with you about the treadmill, I have never been fond of that, and you have so many beautiful trails to run on, and I bet the dogs loved all that fresh air and exercise.
