Tonight we were talking about the Ringing in of the New Year. We know that Australia and Hong Kong...celebrate the New Year many hours before we do on the East Coast.
At Midnight, the Big Ball Drops and Hurrah..Happy New Year in Times Square.
Do the folks in other Time Zones have their own celebration according to their time where they live.
Just interested to know.

Yes I think it depends what time zone you're in. When I went to Australia & New Zealand in 2010 over New Years...they do it BIG in both Sydney and Auckland....they don't wait for the rest of the world to catch up to them, they just lead the way.

There's several events in Portland (Downtown) Oregon, I wrote a blog about the New Year's celebrations. Other then that, my neighbors light a few fire works and that's pretty much it ;-)
