Not Love at First Site!

I had a very interesting conversation with my client while we were looking for houses.  She is a first-time home buyer and asked me if I loved my home from the very beginning.   I guess I don't believe in "love at first site" (pardon my pun) so I told her, "No, but I will."  I have been in my home for a little over a year and have had a few issues that my husband and I have to get fixed.  Every home we have owned has always needed some work and we enjoy doing it.  I guess our goal is to do whatever work we can to make it "our" home.  Even though this wasn't our goal in the beginning it has always turned out well for resale potential too.  I know that not everyone has the DIY bug, but for those who do-- Go For It!

Hello Michelle:  I never thought of "love at first sight" for a home the way it was, but the way it could be.  The notion that good bones and good location trumped everything else is the guiding light.  Hope your buyer sees it that way too.

Michelle,

I'm with Brian, good location and good structural bones are tops with me.
