My System is one a day and No, I do not mean vitamins.
What I mean is one new Tech Tool a Day.
Yep, I declared WAR a few years ago.
I gave it some thought.
The average Realtor is in their Fifties.
The average Home Purchaser is in their Thirties.
It is my job to learn their language.
Texting, tweeting, blogging, IOS apps. The list is longer than the days of my life.
So I approached it one a day.
I hired Tutors every Monday Night. A Kid in the Neighborhood or Family will do!
I signed up for Lynda.com Video Tutorials.
I shared 300 posts in an Active Rain Group called Realtor iPad Apps. Translated, after sharing that much Ipad information, I can now pick up the phone and call just about anyone on AR and ask for help and get tech help if something befuddles me. And yep, I do this.
I downloaded endless Dummies Books.
I purchased GotoMeeting.com and pay for it each month so I can jump on line and watch someone or show someone a Tech Tool.
Yes, indeed, I am a Tech Learning Fool. But if all my stuff makes you drool, stop.
It is my crossword puzzle of the day. It is my brain daily exercise.
So what are the Golden Results?
To begin, confidence and comfort. I know that if I try long enough any given day on any new tech tool that I will eventually figure it out.
So RPR and the NEW RE/MAX Reliance website, step aside, you are about to become a notch in my belt.
Now please be advised this does not mean I do not grumble and complain.
Feel the Fear and do it anyway as the Book promotes.
More Golden Results? I showed a home to a client four hours away by using Facetime as I walked with the Seller though the Home.
It settles next week.
And I used GotoMeeting to learn iPiccy from another Blogger.
So did I mention how easy it was for me to then go figure out collages on the app Diptic? Sounds like an upcoming blog post for my iPad Apps Group!
Oh, this is a GREAT Time to say THANKS for Southern Maryland Referrals.
Or I use GoToMeeting to do my Market CMA Updates. Or to select the Buyer's Top Ten Homes to SEE. Or to cover pricing for an upcoming listing.

And how exactly does that translate into more prospects? Referrals. Plus New clients who want to select me because their Agent did not do this or that.
