I am reblogging this post so that more people will read it. We thank Coach Andy Reid for all that he has done for Football in Philadelphia. We wish him success .

HOW MUCH CLASS CAN A PERSON JUST FIRED SHOW??  Just look at Andy Reid, the fired coach of the Philadelphia Eagles.

It isn't about SPORT.

It isn't about FOOTBALL.

IT'S ABOUT CHARACTER! - Andy Reid is a good SPORT.  Andy Reid knows FOOTBALL.  Andy Reid showed enormous CHARACTER in his press interview when he'd just been fired by the Eagles.

"Andy Reid stuck around after he was fired by the Philadelphia Eagles,
meeting with players, encouraging staff and shaking hands with the
man who let him go."  More.

I listened to his press interview and was humbled by the generous nature of the man.

WINNING IS WONDERFUL!   Win the listing.  Win the contract.  We face those challenges all year long.   Question is, how do we react when we lose??

I hope to show the same sterling CHARACTER shown by Andy Reid when I lose, as I'm sure that I occasionally will.  WE ALL DO, YOU KNOW!!

I'm not saying for one second that we should not work as hard and smart as we are capable to represent the interests of our buyer or seller clients.  THAT'S OUR JOB.  That's our mandate.  That's our promise to our buyer/seller client.  For some, it's a duty of fiduciary, a heavy burden indeed.

I'M A COMPETITIVE ANIMAL!  When I lose on the TRAP or SKEET field, which thankfully
doesn't happen often, congratulating the fellow shooter that just beat me is always in order.
As the old saying goes, there's nothing worse than a sore loser.  Make no mistake.  I
celebrate a win by holding my arm in the air and declaring, "I won".  My fellow shooters
smile.  They are all good sports with character.

WINNING AND LOSING IN REAL ESTATE PRACTICE.  There is a lot of competition in real estate practice.  We often read ActiveRain posts by agents who lament a recent loss of a buyer, a contract, etc.  When that agent spends an entire article blaming the consumer, the other agent, the lender, etc., they are not representing themselves well.

NO EXCUSES!  NO BLAMING OTHERS!  That's what was so remarkable in Andy Reid's interview.

The man showed CHARACTER!!

This is so true. We see many spoiled brats in sports and this industry that a true professional should be noticed and commended. Sad that the Eagles let him go.

Thanks Gita.  Folks in Philladelphia will miss him.
