Fodor’s has announced their list of 25 must-see place for 2013, and Albuquerque made this list. Highlighting the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta and the Albuquerque BioPark, Albuquerque makes the list as a slower-paced, beautifully cultured area to visit, a gem hidden in the desert.
The article states: “But even with all the attention [of Breaking Bad], it motors along at the same pace—nice and slow, like the hot air balloons that dot its sky during the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta every October.” What better way to describe Albuquerque than easy-going, with its colorful skies and cultural anomalies.
Other areas highlighted were the Gruet Winery, Los Poblanos Historic Inn & Organic Farm, and the Andaluz Hotel. Specifically for the holidays, the Luminaria Tour and the Candy Lady were exhibited.
Albuquerque makes the list alongside such places as Ireland, Botswana, New Zealand, Istanbul, and Walt Disney World.
