My little darling kitty decided to check out the snow and ice this morning covering the ground in the beautiful Texas Hill Country.  This rarely happens here but occassionally we get some winter weather and today was our day for it.

snow in the Hill Country

The big snow flakes were coming down at dawn and dusting the ground.  It is warming up now and actually starting to melt so it won't last long.  It was pretty for a while though.

    roads are clear

As most Texans feel, I don't like snow or cold weather.  Give me sunny skies and warm temperatures.  I prefer shorts and sandals to coats and gollashes.  A stroll on the beach is my idea of fun.  Looking forward to summer already!

If you like warm weather, you will love Texas.  Need an occassional snowfall to remind you of cooler areas, the beautiful Texas Hill Country has a good climate for that.  Not too hot in the summer and a few freezes during the winter.  Spring is beautiful with wildflower drives up and down the hills.  The views are great.  Autumn brings lots of color with a variety of trees.  There are even big tooth Maples is some areas.  Looking to relocate?  Check out the Texas Hill Country, it is beautiful here.

Ricki, I love Texas weather! How fun for your pet to discover cold weather. My dogs discovered snow a few years back and I think they are still cold from the encounter, lol!

Ricki~ We have a lot of family in Texas and I'm sure they are not happy with the cold weather either.  We've had some exceptionally cold weather and for too long in Colorado too.  It's only in the 20s right now.  I sure hope it warms up before I have to leave the house!

We heard that Texas was having coolor weather than we were here on the East Coast. But, I remember those hot hot Texas summer days also. Sounds like it has it all...

Today we are getting a downfall of rain and I am so thankful it is not frozen! I've not seen snow in the Hill County which is beautiful country all seasons.

Ricki-Wet and cool here today too. Glad I have no showings. I don't like showing when it's wet due to traffic, and possible getting water on Sellers property. I'm a warm weather guy too. Have a great year.
