My little darling kitty decided to check out the snow and ice this morning covering the ground in the beautiful Texas Hill Country. This rarely happens here but occassionally we get some winter weather and today was our day for it.
The big snow flakes were coming down at dawn and dusting the ground. It is warming up now and actually starting to melt so it won't last long. It was pretty for a while though.
As most Texans feel, I don't like snow or cold weather. Give me sunny skies and warm temperatures. I prefer shorts and sandals to coats and gollashes. A stroll on the beach is my idea of fun. Looking forward to summer already!
If you like warm weather, you will love Texas. Need an occassional snowfall to remind you of cooler areas, the beautiful Texas Hill Country has a good climate for that. Not too hot in the summer and a few freezes during the winter. Spring is beautiful with wildflower drives up and down the hills. The views are great.
