Considering the number of folks who live here full or part time that come from the New York metropolitan area, you would think we would have a number of really good bagel places. Sadly we only have three places that claim to be NY Style bagel joints...and of those only one actually makes the round mounds of breakfast rolls on site...and that would be Ocean Cafe Bagels & More in Indialantic, FL.
Now if you enjoy New York Style bagels you will know that they are either dense (because they are boiled) or soft (because they are baked). Ocean Cafe bakes their bagels (based on the hard water we have here in Florida this may be necessity rather than choice). They always have a nice selection and offer some flavored cream cheeses to spice things up a bit.
Ocean Cafe also offers a nice lunch menu with specials every day. This is a great option for those who like to go to the beach then catch a quick bite...Ocean Cafe is directly across the street from Paradise Beach Park (one of the largest beachfront parks in the area) so you can just walk across HWY A1A...cool down and enjoy a drink and a good breakfast or lunch!
Ocean Cafe Bagels & More also offers bagels and sandwiches to go...you can pick up a dozen and share with your friends!
