The Year of the Dragon

New Year's Day I was out showing homes, and the bedroom of one sported some talented original painting.

Curious, I did a bit of research on the symbolism of a dragon, and learned the following:

Chinese dragons generally symbolize strong, auspicious powers and are symbols of power, strength and good luck. This one must have been our lucky dragon, because the buyers found a home not long after (not this one) and had an accepted contract by January 4.

Wow, somebody was very talented in painting that. What young boy wouldn't want an awesome dragon painted on his bedroom wall? Very cool!! Hopefully that wasn't the master bedroom... lol

No doubt it took some talent to paint this dragon on this wall. Hopefully, this home will find a buyer that appreciates the dragon and meaning behind it.
