Here is the year end market report provided by the Maryland Association of REALTORS®. Although every county but 1 saw a double digit decrease in homes sold from 2006, the average change in sale price from 2006 did not fair so bad.

For example Frederick Real Estate average sale price was $348,654 down only 3.1%. Washington County Real Estate was on the high end of decreased sales price for the state, down 6.6%, but not as much as I suspected it might be.

 Exactly half of all Maryland Counties had a positive change showing that Maryland wasn't hit too hard by the slow housing market.
