Beware of what you write in your blogs. A blogger is being sued over what he has posted. I suggest that you be careful that your posts contain facts and that you disclose where found the facts. I would not like to be held liable for anything I post on AR.

When we offer opinions we should make it clear that is is an opinion and that others should look to and verify facts before coming to their own conclusions.

Yeah that is bad. Know what you write and document where information came from.

I would also add....watch out for saying...this is the best school district....low crime rates....any talk about sex offenders without siting a source. They can and will come after you.

Ulises, your are right on target with this one.  I read the exact same blog last night from a husband and wife team.  No to mention all the Loan Tool Box articles I have seen.

Good point.  I am going to look in to putting together a disclaimer and using it in my signature line.

A disclaimer is not a bad idea.  But it's crazy because people can, and will, sue over anything these days.

**disclaimer:  This is just my opinion and I have no idea what I am talking about.

Thanks Ulises,

Good lesson learned. All this time I thought everything I read on the internet was true. What did Shakesphere say? First thing you do is shoot all the lawyers.

This poor dude is now going to have to spend money and time defending about another crazy law suit

Happy Selling!

Tony

Thanks for all of your comments.

We all need to be careful of what we say, write, and do. We are under the microscope in this industry. In a country where people sue each other for anything, it is wise to be aware of what you are doing at all times.

You should know what you write anyway, if I were that gentleman, I'd have been pissed too, I am sick of bloggers writing BS. I hope he sues the crap out of this schmuck. Lance

I agree.  I've seen a couple posts now with disclaimers at the bottom!

Lance: I believe if you write something false you should have to pay the price for defacing someones name and reputation.

Bill:Its a good idea to have a disclaimer. "Information deemed reliable, but it is not guaranteed.

Thanks for the comments.
