I guess I'm about as dated as they come. I don't even use twitter. I know the hashtag is big with twitter, but I have too many other outlets for social media that I enjoy a lot more.

I still call it the pound sign too lol :)!  I think hashtag is for Twitter...right?!  Ugh..one of these days I will know how to use all my social media sites lol :)!

It's the pound sign to me! It can also be the Number sign, as in #1.  I must really be behind the times, because I didn't know that it was also called hashtag. Great post, Sussie!

Sussie -- it is still a pound or number sign to me -- and to those on line meeting places where you have to put in the meeting code "followed by the pound sign."  My daughter showed me picture of "lambnam style" from facebook last night -- I think "gangnam style" has been overworked.
