Ever since I moved to Shreveport I have been drawn to the Broadmoor neighborhood. Personally, it is my favorite neighborhood in the Shreveport/Bossier area. Not only do I want to help you find your next home there, it is where I make a home of my own. There is not just one thing that sets the Broadmoor neighborhood apart but many. There is a charm of the old style homes that reminds me of a simpler time.
Azaleas and trees blanket the sidewalks along the Broadmoor neighborhood streets, making for scenic everyday strolls. A good walk or bike ride helps me escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. I feel that there is a certain touch of class in Broadmoor that escapes other and newer areas in Shreveport/Bossier.
The Broadmoor neighborhood is centrally located next to the newest commercially developed areas on the constantly growing Youree Drive. There you can find everything from the latest LSU Tigers gear to endless dining and shopping options. It is easy to find anything you need within five miles.
There is a combination of cultural and educational options within the Broadmoor neighborhood that is not available elsewhere in Northwest Louisiana. For example, if you are a fan of the arts, you can go to the Norton Art Gallery and enjoy a variety of options for the musically inclined.
Have children? A.C.Steere park (home to the largest recorded sycamore tree in the state) is the only place you will find the “Leaps and Bounds” playground. It offers a variety of ways to keep children, with or without special needs, engaged. Educational and musical options on the playground are supplemented by a water area for the steamy summer hours. Your children can even create their own music in the park’s sound garden. To add to the vast entertainment options and conveniences available in the Broadmoor neighborhood, the school system is second to none.
